Hey my lovely readers! Missed ya! I have just a short chunk of time between work and an Accounting review session, so I’m gonna make this post short and sweet. Not my ideal when blogging…I really would prefer a solid 2 hour session with some matcha next to me and soft music playing, but alas, that is not currently reality. Though I do have a kombucha by my side, so…silver linings?
I realized I had tons of photos in my phone of recent eats and outfits that I’ve been wanting to share with you since last week and just hadn’t been able to find the time. I’m really excited to be doing it now because I really do love these and love sharing things I love with you guys š
Also! The podcast WILL be coming back; I’m just trying to figure out how best to time-manage when it comes to it. But I’m super excited for the episode I am currently drafting, which is all about MAKING FRIENDS IN A NEW PLACE. I have many many thoughts on the matter, and quite a bit of personal experience, but if there is anything you’d like me to address, please let me know in the comments!
And now, let’s travel straight into the foooooooood.
The first thing I did when I came home for Columbus weekend (well, technically the first thing I did was go to sleep for a solid 12 hours but after I woke up…) was make these ridonkulous pumpkin chocolate chip pancakes. I love ’em so much with almond butter and maple syrup to dip.
I asked on Instagram if you guys are dippers or drizzlers, and the results were 50/50! I’m a dipper all the way because I like to control how much of each flavor is in each mouthful, but I appreciate the drizzling aesthetic. š
More pumpkin! Have I mentioned I can’t get enough lately? š This was my usual whipped banana oatmeal with added pumpkin and some almond butter swirled in. Mmmm fall in a bowl.
Another week, another yogurt bowl. All the usual suspects, greek yogurt, pb granola, chia, hemp, and cacao nibs. Plus cacao powder and half a banana!
Oh just casually enjoying some pb banana greek yogurt toast. Which, if you’ve never tried that combo, DO IT. And check out some of my other fave easy college breakfasts!
Can’t get enough of the almond butter acai bowl from South Block.
A French brunch with one of my faves at one of my favorite Georgetown spots, Boulangerie Christophe. Just look at those pastries!
LOL this is such an ugly photo, but my travel lunch of choice for long train trips to and from campus are PB & J’s. I make them on Ezekiel bread with apple butter and a thicc layer of PB š
A salad I snagged at TJ’s for a super easy quick dinner the day I came back to campus because I could not be bothered to cook. It was okay, but nothing to write home about.
Now this salad was much better! Can’t give you all the deets because it’s part of Talia’s cookbook, but any salad with butternut squash, kale, goat cheese, and a delicious dressing is a winner in my book!
Another cookbook recipe! This was a pumpkin black bean chili that tasted like STRAIGHT FALL. I love topping chili with avocado, makes such a great pairing!
This is one of my very favorite comfort food meals that my mom makes. It’s brown rice pasta with cooked veggies and tons of cheese. I also put lots of tomato sauce on top at the end. Yummmm.
I made this ridiculously delicious pumpkin quinoa risotto the other night, and the whole process of cooking it slowly while listening to a podcast and just really savoring the whole process really transformed my evening. It’s amazing how much more present cooking can make you feel, and it’s amazing how being present can really center you and change your whole outlook on your day.
Workouts
Corepower Yoga
Since last we spoke, I’ve tried another new studio through Classpass, and this time it was Corepower! I’ve bene wanting to try Corepower for AGES, and it totally exceeded my expectations. Honestly, it’s the reason I renewed my Classpass membership for another month.
I’ve done C2, which is a heated medium-intensity vinyasa yoga, and is perfect for when I want to do something lower-impact and more chill but that will still leave me sweaty and have me working hard. Ā I also tried YogaSculpt which is a sweaty insane yoga cardio strength hybrid workout that left me PUMPED UP. I went to my first YogaSculpt class at 7:30am on a Thursday morning, and I swear it was the best way to start my Thursday ever. I felt like a warrior goddess for the rest of the day. š
At Home Yoga
You guys know I’m a huge fan of my at-home workouts, and I’m still definitely doing those. Here are two yoga videos that I recently tried and really enjoyed if you’re feeling like a more challenging long flow.

HIIT/Strength
Still loving my HIIT a couple times a week. Here are a couple videos I did recently and really enjoyed.
45 Minute HIIT Cardio and Abs Workout
When I was home, I felt like doing a strength workout with weights for the first time in a WHILE (I always get annoyed doing weight training in my college gym because they never have enough weights for the amount of people there, and I just hate using sweaty dumbbells LOL). I did this short and sweet workout that left me WIPED and sore for the next couple days!

Outfits
Not very October (except for the color, I suppose), but I think this was my last shorts and tank combo outfit of the year!
That one day we had fall weather heh. I do love fall fashion. Gimme all the booties and cute jackets!
I love this dress from Abercrombie for when it’s too hot for totally summery clothes but too warm for pants and long sleeves.
I got this top from Aritzia a couple weekends ago when I went shopping there with Roomie, and I’m obsessed with it. The color, the fit, the material…LOVE. Also peep Wolf in the background there from my How To Beat The Blues post. <3
And that’s a wrap. Woah that was quite a bit longer than I thought it would be, but what can I say, I missed you guys! If you made it all the way to the end, I’m impressed, and I hope you got some food, workout, or outfit inspiration from here. Love you all, and I’ll talk to you tomorrow for Fab Finds Friday!
