Hello and Happy Monday! Did you all have a good long weekend (if you’re in the States?) Mine was pretty good until Saturday, which is when I was suddenly hit by some virus that put me out of commission for the next 1.5 days. I did find the energy to bake these muffins though (yep, still my fave) and this yoga routine really really helped.
If you missed last week’s post, I started a new-ish thing where I share things I am currently obsessing over, in the hopes of inspiring you or maybe reminding you of some things you already knew you loved but totally forgot about. Hey it happens to the best of us 🙂
Here’s my current loves!
NYC downtown views
I work from downtown NY, and sometimes I find myself just staring in pure awe out the window at this gorgeous city that I’m so lucky to call home. Currently obsessing in particular over the Woolworth Building which is pure art and stands right in front of my face where I work. 😀
Crystals
Crystals and I have been having a love affair for months now. This is a bit more on the woo woo spiritual side, and while it’s been a pretty substantial part of my life for a while now, I like to keep it pretty personal. Something about spirituality and my own beliefs just feels very private, you know? But I do need to share that I am a crystal fanatic and currently have a collection of four. They all have a different purpose, came into my life in the most magical ways, and I love them all. That is all.
Life is Short with Justin Long
I honestly didn’t really know who Justin was until I discovered his podcast (while googling Neil Patrick Harris LOL), but it turns out he’s a pretty famous actor and I’ve even seen some of his films. Well, he recently started a podcast on which he interviews celebrities, chefs, visionaries, etc. and the conversations are just so relaxed and honest.
I get sucked in with every episode, and I love how it feels like two totally normal people chatting. Justin asks everything from, what are your biggest regrets since entering the show business industry to what is your favorite emoji, and the theme song makes me super happy.
This is probably the first non-wellness non- spiritual podcast that I am REALLY into, so I just had to recommend. It’s fairly new, so there aren’t too many episodes, but so far I’ve listened to and LOVED interviews with Neil Patrick Harris, Lena Dunham, and Wolfgang Puck.
Getting legal drinks at cool bars in the city on Friday night
Eyyyy, hello 21. I am honestly not a huge drinker/partier/staying out past 11pm-er, but I gotta say. There’s something REALLY LIBERATING and cool about having access to pretty much anywhere in the city. To be able to confidently flash your ID and order a glass of wine with dinner. Like a real adult, you guys!! Kinda going along with what I talked about in this post, I’ve been really loving that freedom way more than I ever thought I would. And yes, your wallet cries every time, but hey, being broke is part of being a 20-something New Yorker! Kidding… (*cries*)
Solo Movie Nights on Friday night
So I think I was abroad when I discovered how amazing solo movie nights can be. As an extroverted person, I didn’t think I’d enjoy a movie as much with no one to share it with, but it turns out this is honestly one of my favorite activities LOL.
Maybe it’s part of getting a bit older (heh 21), but I’m really not into labels or set identities anymore. Yes I love spending time with people and having a fun exciting night, but just as much, I love tucking into bed at 9pm with a sappy romantic movie and perhaps a cookie or some ice cream, and spending the next two hours going through every emotion on the planet LOL. Honestly I think this is super therapeutic for me because I pretty much never cry in real life but always cry at movies, so it feels really good to let all that out.
Most recently, I watched Love, Rosie on Netflix with a carton of PB cup Halo Top on a Friday night, and it was honestly my favorite night of the week LOL. Guys, I’m the coolest 21-year-old.
And that’s it for this week. Love y’all, and chat soon!

Currently Loving is such a fun idea! Maybe I should try something similar on my blog. I’ve also been loving solo movie nights and recently watched Always Be My Maybe on Netflix. Gotta love a good rom com!
