Fab Finds Friday #2
The Lively Show Episodes 146-162
I’ve mentioned Jess’s show on here before in one of my favorites posts, but it’s a true gem. I go through phases of binge-listening and then moving on to another podcast and then coming back to it. Right now, I’m totally in the binge-listening phase.
These are the episodes tagged Lively Adventure because they chronicle Jess’s travels around the world in real-time. It’s a true testament to my wanderlust that I’m drawn to all kinds of adventure/travel right now. And if I can’t do as much as I’d like physically, then I sure as hell am gonna do it vicariously. I love how her entire travel experience is so intuitive and though she doesn’t know where she’s going next or what’s going to happen, she is comfortable trusting the flow and seeking out adventure. LOVE.
Eat Pray Love
Ha! Last FFF, I talked about Big Magic and now I have yet another Liz Gilbert masterpiece for ya. But seriously, I couldn’t not share this book. I find myself screenshotting so many pages as I read because there are SO MANY gems inside. I seriously think Liz and I would be great friends; she’s so cool and her attitudes on life are crazily similar to my own.
Here’s a beautiful excerpt that totally is in line with this Instagram post I put up a few days ago. By the way, feel free to Pin! 🙂
Did I mention I’m super into the travel/adventure genre right now? 😉 Next up on my list is The Alchemist.
5 Minute Journal Quotes
Okay this might just become an FFF staple because these quotes are amazing! Like I mentioned in FFF #1, these quotes are not just wise words that go way over my head like so many cliches. These REALLY hit home, and I think they will for some of you all too!
“None of us really changes over time. We only become more fully what we are.” -Anne Rice
“What man needs is not some tension-less state but rather the striving and struggling for some goal worthy of him.” -Viktor Frankl (If you are doing work that is truly right for you, it will not feel like work.)
And my favorite (obviously)…
“I know not all that may be coming, but be it what it will, I’ll go to it laughing.” -Herman Melville
That’s So Maven Podcast Episode 67 with Bettina Bogar
You all know I love Davida, but this is the first time I was acquainted virtually with Bettina, and what a GEM! Again, I felt like Bettina was my long-lost friend, and her attitudes and opinions regarding work and relaxation so closely mirrored my own that it was almost uncanny.
Of course, she’s a total inspiration to me because while she totally talks about the things I myself believe in, she is much better at LIVING them. The fact that she built her business from scratch as a new immigrant, while still maintaining sanity and tranquility in her life, is a true testament to how inspiring this girl is. Plus she has the most soothing and chill vibe, which I dig in podcast guests.
And I’ll leave it at that! Please enjoy your weekend, and if you don’t have any fun plans, then enjoy the relaxation and stillness before the Monday crazies step in. 😉 I have Roomie coming to visit me, so I’m super excited for that. Follow along on our journeys on my Instagram Stories!
What’s inspiring you lately?
Cora says
Yeah girl. Such great finds. When you and Liz get together for coffee and realize you are soul sisters, can I be a fly on the wall soaking up all the wisdom with you?
