Hello hello! I am renaming the Random Moments of Happiness to Moments of Magic because that feels more right somehow. This will be a quick little post because I am currently watching The Oscars, which are by far my favorite TV event. I have watched them every single year for as long as I can remember. Not many of you know this, but I adore movies and for a long time as a child, wanted to be an actress. If I’m being totally honest, a small but very potent part of me still harbors the slightly absurd wish of one day being at the Oscars. (Did I just say that out loud?)
Anyway, let us dive into some Moments of Magic from last week, and then I’ll go over my workouts.
Moments of Magic
Being at my last retreat weekend as a freshman leader
All of it was incredible and memorable; the vulnerable and wise talks that were given by my fellow leaders and the staff; the moments of deep, intense connection with others there; singing during the singalong with every ounce of my soul; giving my own very personal talk about my life before Georgetown… it’s been an unforgettable experience.
Watching Fellowship of the Ring with RBF (Roomie’s Boyfriend) and then talking for hours afterward
Watching the sixth Star Wars episode with MB (I finally have seen all the existing Star Wars movies!) and then giving him a mini guitar concert 🙂
Turning on this playlist while I wrote my papers and making them just a little more magical
Getting to meet the lovely and inspirational Georgia at the adorable Sunday in Brooklyn
Enjoying a Levain Bakery cookie in the middle of Central Park with an old friend, perched on a rock overlooking the lake.
With the same friend exploring the Plaza Hotel and ending up dancing in the Ballroom
He’s kind of a ballroom pro at college, so I asked him to teach me some moves. When else would I get a chance to waltz around the Plaza ballroom? 😉 These are the moments I live for.
My dog giving me a royal welcome when I arrived home or the break
She’s sometimes a bit distant when I am gone for a long time, but this time she was ecstatic to see me.
Getting absolutely sucked into A Wrinkle in Time
Been a while since I read such a riveting book, and it only confirmed in my mind how timeless children’s classics are.
Watching the Oscars, of course
While enjoying these lovely vegan brownies with this incredible dairy-free ice cream. And dreaming about an alternative life where I would be a teen star accepting an award. Promise I’m not that crazy. 😉

Love the moments of magic. I’ve heard good things about Levain Bakery but have never tried it. Will need to check it out the next time I’m up north.
