Hey hey! I thought it would be fun to take you guys through a Monday in the life because I know we all love these kinds of posts. I don’t know what it is, but there’s something oddly fascinating about seeing exactly what goes on in another person’s life. Trust me, I’ve spent hours of my life reading others’ day in the life posts and watching day in the life vlogs on Youtube (low-key, one of my dreams is to make those one day).
It definitely wasn’t too exciting of a day, but it was nice nevertheless and it started off quite fantastically. But I’ll stop yammering and hit you with the pics now!
9am– I decided to sleep in today instead of working out early, which was a great decision. Spent the next hour getting ready and inhaling my overnight oats in a peanut butter jar that had a delightfully substantial layer of peanut butter in it. Head to this post to see how I make them!
10-10:45 Monday coffee date with my lovely friend. I mentioned before that we’ve had this tradition for most of this year. We grab coffee, find somewhere comfy to sit, and just chat and catch up. It’s the perfect start to the week. Also, it should be mentioned that at this point, I had drunk 2 cups of water, 1 cup of green tea, and 1 cup of coffee. LOL my bladder hates me.
10:45-1:45 Work at Campus Ministry! Today was a very slow day, so I mostly did homework heh. I also pulled out my snack-lunch thing, which consisted of a bunch of grapes with 2 cheddar cheese sticks, carrots with hummus, and a handful roasted nuts. Totally does the trick in a pinch!
2-3:15 Psych class. This one is all about childhood and adolescence, and I have discovered that I am VERY interested in the adolescent part. Today we talked all about aggression. Fun stuff!
3:30-4:30 Work one more hour (read: do more homework shamelessly)
4:30-5 Head back to my room and get ready for a light workout.
5-6 I’m not feeling anything intense today so I opt for a short arm routine from Blogilates along with a 30 minute power yoga flow. Just what I needed. 🙂
6-7 Work on this post, text some friends, listen to some podcasts, eat some dark chocolate and the other half of my greek yogurt container with half a scoop chocolate protein powder, other half of banana from overnight oats, and a couple spoonfuls granola.
7-8 Finish all the reading I need to do for tomorrow.
8-9 Dinner from the dining hall while catching up with Roomie. This was actually a surprisingly good one, quinoa cakes with roasted butternut squash, and grilled asparagus. Some sriracha promptly got drizzled on post-picture.
9-11 Study Micro and Macro. I know this sounds crazy, but I’ve already started studying for my finals because I know that’s the only way I’ll actually learn all the information in time. It’s not the most fun, but at least I feel a bit more in control this way.
11-12 Eat snack of granny smith apple and peanut butter, pack for next day, choose an outfit, etc.
12-1 Get ready for bed and finally collapse into the sheets. Bliss.
